In the Kingdom of Thailand, in the year 2005 and beyond, Bangkok, The City of Angels, was teetering on the edge of disarray. The streets were a battlefield of endless bickering between the reds and the yellows, transforming the bustling Sukhumvit and Silom into no-go zones, and silencing the once vibrant nightlife from Soi Cowboy to Soi 4. Even the posh Central shopping mall went up in flames, and the famed Suvarnabhumi airport was seized by protesters, leaving tourist arrivals dwindling to a mere trickle as nations warned their citizens to steer clear. The “Land of Smiles” turned into the “Land of Chaos.” Those were rocky times when politics didn’t just brew debates, but a whole storm in a chai yen (tea) cup.
But amid this tumultuous mess, a fierce squad of office gays and gals in their prime managed to live their best lives in the City of Angels, or City of Fallen Angels as it was sometimes playfully called. Grit and wit were their middle names, and no curfew or flood could dampen their quest for fabulosity!
Who exactly are these sensational gals? Drum roll, please!
